Spotlight Sister Sandra Thompson
Sister Sandra Thompson
Blessings to all. My name is Sandra Thompson. Growing up in the big urban city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, I was surrounded by inspiration and hope from family and community. God held us together.
My grandmother instilled in me the first commandment, to “love God,” and the second, to “love thy neighbor” and to do so unselfishly. So with this lesson, I nourish and take pride in what I love, my God, family, and church. As a child, I grew up in the church. I have always had a relationship with the Lord. I was saved in September 1996. I have been a member of Holy Temple Church of God in Christ for almost a year now. I have been involved with the evangelism team, where I enjoy working because it brings me great joy to serve, as my name, Sandra, means “Helper of Mankind.” My purpose on earth is to serve. I do so by teaching children and serving mankind in any way I can. My interests include reading and studying the Word. I love a variety of music, especially gospel music.
In conclusion, service is enriching to me; it is the connective tissue that binds me to people and my God. It aids my personal growth with the Lord, my family and my church.
