Spotlight – Ava Weatherspoon
Sister Ava Weatherspoon
Ava Weatherspoon is a loving wife, mother, daughter, and friend. She has been a member of Prayer Assembly Church of God in Christ her entire life. Her love for God was instilled early on, and this foundation continues to sustain her. Her favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11: “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” It provides comfort when life is so uncertain that God will fulfill His promises to us.
Her parents settled in Arizona for her father’s last duty station in the Air Force. She’s the only member of her family born and raised in Arizona. She has both a Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science in Healththcare Administration from Grand Canyon University, a Lean Six Sigma Certification, and is attaining a Project Management certificate from Spelman College in the fall. Ava and her husband own a dessert shop in the west valley called The Cereal Killerz Kitchen. Ava truly believes all things are possible with God as she hopes to execute other business ventures in the near future. Ava has been married almost a decade and has a 7-year-old son.
